No matter if you are an artist, a model builder or simply want to repaint your room, you will need to mix colors to get the result you wanted.
You probably have realized that the real world color mixing is often counter-intuitive and is completely different from the RGB model used in the computer world (and most other color apps). One example is if you try to darken a bright color by adding black, it often turns out gray instead of the darker version of the original color. If you need orange, RGB based programs will suggest red and green but in the real world, you actually need red and yellow.
Color Unmixer is here to help to solve the real world color mixing problems using its unique subtractive color model. It is able to simulate real-world color mixing and more importantly, it can resolve any color into a combination of mixing colors.
Unmix
Select a color from the color picker, click unmix to find out the prime colors and their ratios to mix into the selected color.
Conversion
Pick a color, click A button to save it into the slot. Then pick another and save into B.
If the 2 selected colors can be converted into each other, the A->B or B->A buttons will be enabled and clicking on them will show you the additional prime colors you need and ratios to convert one into another.
Mix
Use the same steps above to pick 2 colors with the A and B button. Click on A+B button to see the mix result of the 2 selected colors.
In the mix composition screen, you can change the mixing ratios by tapping on the left or right side of the color card. You can also add new colors to the mix with the + button on the bottom. Any change to the mix will update the mixing result in real-time.
